Jennifer Markham
Ballet
Having grown up in the Berkshires, Jennifer received her early dance
education at Terpsichore Dance Center and the Cantarella School of
Dance.
At the age of fourteen, Jennifer was asked to perform with the Albany
Berkshire Ballet and toured throughout New England, New York, and
Pennsylvania with the company, dancing in a variety of ballets including
The Nutcracker. Her ballet training has included working with Judi
Drozd, director of Terpsichore Dance Center; Madeline Cantarella Culpo,
Nancy Pierce, Deirdre Duffin Swindlehurst and Karen Knerr of the Albany
Berkshire Ballet / Cantarella School; Patricia Strauss, Arthur Leeth
and Erin Sung of Boston Ballet; Anna Meyers of the Dance Complex;
and Zabelle Margosian.
In 1999, Jennifer moved to Boston to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree
in History and Political Science from Emmanuel College. During college
Jennifer was introduced to musical theater and has since danced in
such musicals as The Wiz, Grease, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and
Oklahoma!, with the Emmanuel College Theater Guild, Boston Theater
Bridge and Turtle Lane Playhouse.
Jennifer currently teaches ballet at the Joanne Langione Dance Center
and the Brookline Academy of Dance. |
